Back when I was traveling the country as a National Skincare Educator, I would oftentimes run into the dilema of waiting too long to eat, then eating some sort of fast food item in the airport food court or drinking another Starbucks Coffee…either way, my skin was not thrilled with me the next day. If this sin against my skin was repeated, dehydration, breakouts and blotchiness were my payback. So, what’s a girl to do to prevent this when on the road or busy at work?
Smoothies and bars are a great skin-friendly option! However, they are NOT all created equal. In fact, many “health” bars and shakes are packed with sugar, soy, even unwanted fillers. That is why I wanted to post some of my personal favorites for you. I keep these on hand for road trips, plane rides, all day errand-running, etc. Smoothies are also a great way to get breakfast in fast without compromising the amount of skin-friendly nutrition needed.

Larabar: I personally love the Peanut Butter & Jelly and Cherry Pie
My Favorite Juice “to go” is Evolution Fresh’s Organic V: A blend or Carrot, Celery Spinach, Beet, and Parsley that tastes fresh, clean and sweet!
