The Morning Star Green Drink Knock-off

1 large grapefruit, peeled
1/4 cup kale
1/4 cup collard greens (they say steamed, but I did it raw)
1/4 cup chard (they say steamed…but I did it raw)
1 medium apple, cored
1 cup baby spinach
1 tbsp organic agave nectar or raw honey
½ cup (or to taste and preference) yerba matte
1 tbsp ground flax seed
Place all veggies and fruits in juicer, one at a time, and juice away.
Add in yerba matte and agave and ground flax and blend or stir until smooth.
Drink immediately (while thinking happy thoughts about the radiant skin you’re gonna have)

DUDE! This really does taste like the Green Drink we get at the local Farmer’s Market from Morning Star Ranch. My husband calls it the $50 drink because its a wee bit expensive ($9 for a medium bottle.) Anyone, children and my husband included, that has tried this drink LOVES it. Ive been searching for the recipe and trying to recreate it at home…and finally found the perfect knockoff!

I used what I had on hand, which meant more kale, chard and collard greens and no spinach. I also used 2 medium grapefruits and no honey or agave. Its soooo good, and for those of you trying to eat more greens for better skin health, this is a great way to do it! The drink, if made by the recipe above, packs in over 6 grams of protein and 14 grams of fiber, all for about 300 calories of pure nutrition!

@tzabaot thanks so much for the website information. If you’d like to post the original recipe we’d love to see it. As it is, we find that this recipe tastes very much like the green drink we love from our farmers market!

Thank you for answering, the main problem is that in our recipe everything is raw, we don’t steam the greens, we don’t juice them. This page does affect us, customers come to us saying they saw a website with our recipe saying that it is cooked.

Our recipe is different, please remove this page and/or call us 1-760-908-3221

    Thank you!

We call this recipe a knockoff and never claim that it is the exact recipe. Nothing in this recipe is steamed or cooked. We stand by the recipe as it is nutritious and delicious. We will not be replying to any more comments on this post. Thank you for understanding. @tzabaot
