I absolutely adore this little blog and the initiative behind it. Here is a great post listing 10 reasons to stop eating processed food. It’s definitely worth a look if you are considering a lifestyle change. One little tip before reading though: processed food is a term used very widely. In reality, any food that has been changed from it’s natural state is processed. This includes mixing, baking, cooking, etc. What most of us mean when we say “processed food” is overly processed food or refined food like fast food, instant soups, tv dinners, fried foods, sodas, chips, candy…you get the idea. Overly processed and Refined food is the enemy of beautiful skin.
Now, this mommy blogger and healthy food lover doesn’t do things exactly how I would. I’m a bit more strict with my food choices. But I love this post and wanted to share it with all of you. Take the information that you like and change up the parts that don’t work for you.
A good rule of thumb is the 80/20 rule, where 80 percent of your diet comes from whole foods and 20 percent is processed. Always limit refined food (or junk food) but allow yourself little indulgences – enjoy your life!
