It seems like lately we are always in a hurry to get out the door in the morning, so we thought…hey, maybe some of you have this issue as well. On these busy mornings, it may seem like a good idea to skip breakfast and grab a coffee instead…but it’s not a good idea for you skin (or any other part of you for that matter.)
Breakfast is the first opportunity your body has to receive nourishment. If you throw back a coffee with sugar and cream you ensure almost no nutritional value and kick your body into stress mode with a cortisol boost. So, what’s the solution?
We love our smoothies and green drinks and they make a perfect breakfast. So, we wanted to share our “go-to” fastest ever smoothie recipe with all of you!
Mango Berry Protein Smoothie
2 heaping tbspn Warrior Food Protein Powder (this is our personal favorite, but you can substitute for a different protein powder. Keep in mind that brown rice and hemp are best.)
1 tbspn Vitamineral Greens (perfect for added minerals, protein, fiber, antioxidants, and much more)
¼ cup frozen berries (organic)
½ cup frozen mango chunks
1-2 cups purified water (depends on the desired consitency)
- Add all ingredients into blender, cover and blend on high until smooth.
- Pour your breakfast smoothie into a travel cup to take with you and place the empty blender and lid in the sink filled with soapy water (so the smoothie wont dry, making clean up easier later.)
- Take your smoothie and get out the door!
This recipe is so quick and easy, there is no excuse to skip breakfast or eat something unhealthy!
