Sun Exposure and the Benefits of Vitamin D

I know we’ve posted a lot of information on the benefits of Vitamin D recently, but I just had to add this newest Reuter’s article to the mix. I tell my clients to wear natural sun block if they are going to be in the car or outside. However, I am not a sun-phobic esthetician. I do not condone sun bathing or tanning salon visits, but I do agree with the philosophy that minimal amounts of weak sun exposure is beneficial for Vitamin D production. This article explains the philosophy a bit more, along with scientific proof to back it up.

Enjoy!
