The Spa on 5th is located right in the heart of the downtown area (on 5th street – clever, right?) As part of the historic Inn on 5th, this small spa offers customized massage and facial services to hotel guests and visitors. Walking through the lobby I am reminded of a Parisian Boutique Hotel (or at least the American cousin to a Parisian Boutique Hotel.) Large arrangements of flowers, ornate lighting, gilded mirrors, and formal upholstered furniture fill the space between 5th Avenue and my destination: the Spa. This hotel is in the process of a $1.7 million renovation – but I didn’t see any construction which was a nice touch. I can’t wait to see the hotel when everything is finished!
The spa is tiny with just a few treatment rooms. Its Feng-shui guided decor and dimly lit ambiance instantly dispels any stress. The spa offers a simple service menu that consists of therapeutic massage , including prenatal massage, facials using products from the Dead Sea, and body wraps and scrubs. Each treatment rooms are very private and spa guests enjoy lots of personal attention. The Spa in 5th is the perfect place to be rejuvenated after a day at the beach, before enjoying dinner in the evening air and catching that sunset at the beach!
