Spa Scents For the Home

Scent is the closest sense tied to memory – and it heavily influences the way we feel at any given moment. Warm vanilla and cinnamon makes me think of the cool weather and holiday meals. Coconut and citrus reminds me of the beach and vacation. Lavender and eucalyptus reminds me of my second home – the spa.

Essential oils trump fragrance oils as they provide the benefit of balancing physically, mentally and emotionally. Lavender and chamomile calm, eucalyptus and peppermint can relieve pressure in the sinuses, tea tree and rose can counter the effects of mold and mildew. Grapefruit and lemongrass energize the mind and keep it more alert. Lemon and orange can combat those “funky” smells. You get the idea.  We highly recommend using essential oils in the home whenever possible…although we do love our pomegranate sage candles too!

Fragrance is an important element of style in the home, office and even car. Here are our favorite ways to use scent int he home, along with some of our favorite spa scent combinations. What are your favorites?

Essential oil scentball diffuser – very convenient way to use essential oil without burring a candle. Place essential oils of choice on to the provided pads and insert them into the scentball. Then plug it in and enjoy!
