My Favorite Honey Masks


These are my very favorite honey masks. They are so easy, require minimal ingredients and pack a punch for your skin. I recommend honey masking 1-2 times per week, in between professional facial treatments. My clients already know this, but I’m not a huge fan of home exfoliation. I’d much rather my clients use a daily serum and moisture treatment, keep their skin fairly clean and honey mask weekly…saving the big jobs for their facials (which I recommend every 4-6 weeks.) Raw honey is easy to find, inexpensive and has no shelf life – what better mask ingredient could there be? Here are the recipes:

For Uneven Skin Tone
1 tsp raw honey
1.2 tsp fresh lemon juice OR 2 drops lemon essential oil*

For Sensitive Skin
1 tsp raw honey
1 tsp pure aloe vera
1 drop lavender essential oil*

For Oily Skin
1 tsp raw organic honey
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon or nutmeg
2 drops purification essential oil blend*

For Dry or Mature Skin
1 tsp raw honey
1/2 tsp raw organic coconut oil
1 drop frankincense essential oil*

**All of the essential oils I use at bien-etre spa and in my own home are from Young Living. I believe that they are of the highest quality. I’ve used them for more than 10 years, and over the past year more actively. I have been blown away by how many benefits they provide in addition to my healthy diet and skin regimen.
